Develop your own measurements
The Sarana360 kinematic measurement concept enables the accurate measurement of almost any angle of the body. The sensor can be attached anywhere and since no "standards" or instructions need to be followed, you can develop your own measurements for each case and customer.
In the past, it was challenging to measure different angles of the body, and it was not possible to accurately monitor rehabilitation or progress. The results given by generally known measurement tools were general estimates. Instead of visual estimations of general mobility, with Sarana360 it is now possible to find very precise and specific angles.
There are thousands of possible measurements that you can come up with by using Sarana360. However, here are a few examples to help you understand this new way of thinking about body measurements and an accuracy-based approach to health science.
diagnostics
If you are doing a clinical examination of the shoulder, the Sarana360 measurement helps to accurately determine the movements of the shoulder joint in all directions of movement and at different levels. With the help of accurate results and video recording, you can show the customer about the changes in their shoulder function. You will be able to guide the exercises with high quality using real-time measurement and description.
Rehabilitation
With Sarana360, for example, in the rehabilitation of the anterior cruciate ligament of the knee, you can measure the exact flexion and extension angles, which gives your customer a clear goal of what to improve. On the basis of the measurement, it is possible to accurately show your customer certain movement limitations in the initial phase, e.g. when squatting.
Attach the sensor anywhere and you can together with your customer immediately see the tilt angle. You can also measure and view the rotation in a horizontal or any desired movement plane.
Healhtcare professionals
Sarana360 enables modern and high-quality kinematic measurement for daily use by sports and health professionals. With the help of the application, you can tell and show the customer the changes in mobility quickly and easily.
In addition to measuring passive and active mobility, it is possible to create meaningful experiences for the client when they see the real angles on screen in real time.
Coaches
Analyzing movement reliably and accurately. The application and the sensor go with you anywhere. More accurate and effective monitoring of rehabilitation. Record and record performances with measurements directly from the application.
You decide how and what to measure. The Sarana360 concept does not require you to measure in a certain way, but if you wish, you can also make the old familiar standard measurements more precisely.
Thanks to the sensor being attached to the body, active and passive mobility can be measured accurately, and without the usual measurement errors.
Add value to your own work and reporting results. With the application's video recording, the customer gets immediate feedback. You can report the described results to e.g. a doctor or coach. Accurate measurement results and visual feedback motivate the customer to progress and achieve results.
Accurate measurement results in real time. Digital measurement enables a high-quality and reliable measurement result. The accuracy problems of earlier analog meters can be eliminated by using the modern Sarana360 concept.
"I have used the application in client work and the customers are very satisfied and motivated when they see the movement and the exact result immediately"-Physiotherapist Olli
Ergonomics
Using the application, you can measure, for example, the movement angles of the back during different working methods and thereby assess the physical load of the work. Immediate video feedback helps the employee to understand the work performance.
Training
With the sensor, the coach can measure, for example, the active trajectories of the hip during training and find out possible differences between sides or stiffness. The coach can use the results in training programs. Regular follow-up measurements can be used to determine whether the exercises have helped.
The Sarana360 kinematic measurement concept has been developed in cooperation with physiotherapists and coaches.
